Dear Project Hope:
I came here for the first time needing just a little more help to get through the month. The people were so nice and patient with me as they helped me fill out my paperwork. This was all so new to me. I found shoes & clothing for my little one. Then I went downstairs where I was greeted with a smile and someone explained to me what things I could get with my food. I was very nervous and a little ashamed for needing this kind of help. I was releaved that I was treated like a person, not a stranger off the street.
My little one was given a small bag of toys and some snacks. She got a big smile on her face that gave me something to smile about too. I was given a grocery basket of food and a nice gentleman pushed it out to my car. He put everything in the car and told me to have a great day.
Driving home I felt grateful that I had come to a place with such caring and giving people. I hope I will never have to use their services again but I know that Project Hope is a place that cares for people.
